Meeting with your personal guide and drive for a Moscow city tour by transport: Discover the Red Square, St. Basil Cathedral, the GUM supermarket, the Kremlin, the Bolshoy theatre, Tverskaya Street, and the Sparrow mountain ("Vorobyevi Gory") with its superb view over Moscow and finally the view of the Novodevichy convent.   

Free time for lunch, then guided tour of the Tretyakov Gallery: Housed in the private mansion of collector Pavel Tretyakov, in the heart of the picturesque Moscow district of "Zamoskvorietchié", the "Tretyakova" gathers the most important collection of Russian art and icons in the world and covers the history of Russia in the 11th and 20th centuries.

Free time in the morning for a personnal discovery of the capital (Option: guided tour of the Izmailovsky flea market and its colored kremlin). Free time for lunch. 

Meeting with you guide for a tour of the Kremlin (territory and cathedrals): Former residence of the tsars, the largest and most famous fortress in the country, the Kremlin is a complex of palaces and cathedrals, the oldest of which date back to the 16th century. Its walls also house the tombs of 47 tsars as well as many curiosities.

Free time for dinner, overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure by the fast train to Vladimir. You will be welcomed at the Vladimir station by your driver. Transfer to the excursion office. Meeting with your English-speaking guide.

Collective guided tour of Vladimir: St. Dimitri's Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Dormition. Free time for lunch. Vladimir and Suzdal are two must-see cities of the Golden Ring. They will plunge you into the heart of 12th century Russia thanks to their cathedrals and monasteries listed as UNESCO heritage sites. Vladimir was founded on the Kliazma in the 12th century, and was for a long time the rival of Kiev and then Moscow.

Transfer to Suzdal, free time for lunch and afternoon to discover the city (In option: Visit of Bogoliubovo and its cathedral).

Guided tour of Suzdal by foot (3h): The Kremlin, the wooden architecture museum, the monastery of Saviour St-Euthymius. The city of Suzdal is a museum in itself as it presents an intact image of the Russian history. It has many churches and other religious buildings and a lush green countryside in the summer. 

Free lunch. Transfer to Plios (2,5h) and check in at the hostel.

Free time for discovery and visit of Plios, village of the Golden Ring and very popular holiday destination for many popular artists like Levitan and Repin. 

Dinner and overnight stay at the hostel.

Breakfast at the inn.

Free time. Then transfer to Kostroma (1,5h) in the late morning. Meeting with your guide at the Ipatiev monastery, which you will visit. Panoramic tour of Kostroma. The city was not available for foreigners until 1991 and retained its 19th century style.

Free time for lunch. Departure to Yaroslavl (80km-ride).

Meeting with your guide and depart for the visit of Yaroslavl by foot: the Monastery of St-Saviour, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration. Admire the white walls and the golden cupolas of the monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, the splendid green bulbs of the St-Elias church, the Volkov theater, the first theater in Russia... you will walk on the docks of this city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Free time for lunch. Departure for the visit of Rostov (panoramic city tour, kremlin)

Finally, your tour takes you to Rostov the Great, the oldest city in the Golden Ring. Rebellious for a long time, the city is today very peaceful, built around a formidable Kremlin which houses a cathedral and two churches. You will admire the splendor and finesse of its silver bulbs.

Return to Yaroslavl to catch the evening train. Free time for dinner and transfer to the train station. Night on the train.

Free breakfast on the train. Arrival in St-Petersburg, meeting with your driver and guide. Departure for  a panoramic city tour by transport and a visit of the Peter and Paul Fortress: Discover the sumptuous capital dreamed of by Peter the Great at the mouth of the Neva. The Decembrists Square, the Admiralty, and Peter and Paul's Cathedral, the beautiful Winter Palace Square, Nevsky Prospekt, the canals and alleys that inspired novelists, the rostral columns, the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood ...Peter the Great chose a strategic place to found the Peter and Paul fortress in 1703. It has several buildings including a splendid cathedral where almost all of the Romanov royal family now rest.

Meeting with your guide and departure for a guided visit at the Hermitage museum: Jewel of the Russian baroque art, one of the most famous and important museums worldwide. Listed as a UNESCO heritage, it houses treasures from anitiquity and artworks from painters of the Dutch, Italian, Flemish and Spanish schools. A visit, appreciated by tourists for by both the richness in collections and the magnificence of the buildings.

Departure by transport for a guided tour of your choice: Pavlovsk Palace and Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) by car or a visit of Peterhof. Free time for lunch at the location.

Option 1: Pavlosk Palace: Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pavlovsk is famous for the splendour of its interiors, which house many 18th century furniture, sculptures, and paintings. You then visit the sumptuous gardens of Tsarskoye Selo, an imperial village founded in the 18th century as the summer residence of the tsars.

Option 2: Peterhof: Peterhof Palace was intended to be the Russian Versailles. The long canal linking it to the Gulf of Finland allowed guests to reach the palace by boat.

Back to St-Petersburg. Free time for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

In case of a delay in the delivery of baggage at the airport, and according to the Warsaw Convention, the recipient (the passenger) must personally send a written protest to the actual carrier (the company operating the flight, which may be different from the company selling the ticket in the case of a code-share flight) within 21 days from the day on which the baggage was placed at his disposal.


. If the cancellation occurs more than 45 days before your departure, the cancellation fee is 15% of the total amount of the trip.

. Between 45 days and 31 days before departure, it amounts 30% of the total amount of the trip.

. Between 30 days and 15 days, it amounts 50%.

. Between 14 days and 8 days, it amounts 75%.

. If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before departure, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total amount.

Special cases: 100% cancellation fee may be applied upon registration on certain services, including, unless otherwise stated, on all plane tickets, train tickets and show tickets. These charges are calculated in addition to the general cancellation fee.


The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302 and Article L.211-2 II of the Tourism Code. You will therefore benefit from all the rights granted to packages. Tsar Voyages will be responsible for the proper execution of the package as a whole. In addition, Tsar Voyages has a protection in order to refund your payments and, if the transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in case it becomes insolvent.

Please note that Tsar Voyages cannot be held responsible for the following events:

Consequences of unforeseeable or unavoidable events of a third party such as: wars, political unrest, strikes, riots, technical or administrative incidents outside Tsar Voyages, airspace congestion, bad weather, delays (including in the dispatch of mail...), breakdowns, loss or theft of luggage or other personal effects of travellers. 

. Cancellation imposed by exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, for reasons related to the maintenance of the security of the travellers, for injunction of an administrative authority: in this case, Tsar Voyages reserves the right to modify the dates, schedules or routes planned in order to ensure the security of the travellers, without any possible recourse.

. The person making the registration in the name and on behalf of all the participants in the trip undertakes to transmit to each traveller the information provided concerning the trip so that Tsar Voyages cannot be held responsible for any defect or omission in the transmission of this information.
