Departure with your guide for a panoramic city tour by transport and a guided tour of the Peter and Paul Fortress: Discovery of the sumptuous capital imagined by Peter the Great at the mouth of the Neva. Decembrists’ Square, the Admiralty and Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Nevsky Prospekt, the Canals, the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood ...The city tour is the ideal excursion to understand and tame the geography of this human-sized city.

Free time for lunch then visit the Yusupov Palace: Yusupov Palace is one of four palaces owned by the Yusupovs, the richest family in St-Petersburg on the eve of the Revolution. You will visit the sumptuous private apartments and small basement theater of these princes renowned for their philanthropy and their art collections. In the basement, you will relive the last moments of Rasputin who was murdered in this place.

Meeting with your guide and guided tour of the Hermitage Museum : A true jewel of Russian Baroque art, the Hermitage Museum is one of the most important museums in the world. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it houses treasures from antiquity and the works of the great masters of the Dutch, Italian, Flemish and Spanish schools. A visit appreciated as much for the richness of the collections as for the magnificence of the buildings.

During the summer, guided tour of the domain of Peterhof: very impressed by the pomp of the French court, Peter the Great installed his Russian Versailles on the Baltic Sea to mark his victory over the Swedes. A long canal linked to the Gulf of Finland allowed guests to reach the palace by boat, admiring the Grand Cascade, this formidable ensemble of fountains, water jets and sculptures that still operates from mid-May to September (Optional: guided tour of the Saint-Isaac Cathedral and Church of the Savior on Blood).

During the winter, guided tour of Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin): renamed "Pushkin" after the Revolution, the town of Tsarskoye Selo is home to the splendid Catherine Palace, built by Rastrelli on the commission of Elizabeth I, and the Alexander Palace built by Catherine II on the occasion of the wedding of her grandson, the future Alexander I. The beauty of the buildings, interiors and gardens will be appreciated (Optional: guided tour of the Pavlovsk Palace, famous for its interiors and the beauty of its English style park).

In the evening, transfer to the train station to catch your train to Moscow (supplement 80€/pers. for traveling in 1st class - two-person compartment). (Option: take the fast train (4h) in the afternoon, and spend an extra night in Moscow). Night in the train.

Early welcome by your guide at the train station (breakfast on the train). 

Meeting with your personal guide and drive for a Moscow city tour by transport: Discover the Red Square, St. Basil Cathedral, the GUM supermarket, the Kremlin, the Bolshoy theatre, Tverskaya Street, and the Sparrow mountain ("Vorobyevi Gory") with its superb view over Moscow.

Free time for lunch, then guided tour of the Tretyakov Gallery: Housed in the private mansion of collector Pavel Tretyakov, in the heart of the picturesque Moscow district of "Zamoskvorietchié", the "Tretyakova" gathers the most important collection of Russian art and icons in the world and covers the history of Russia in the 11th and 20th centuries.

Meeting with your personal guide for a guided tour of the Moscow Metropolitan and the St. Saviour's Cathedral: the Moscow metro stations are often compared to real "underground palaces". The St. Saviour's Cathedral is one of the most emblematic monument of the Russian capital.  

Free time for lunch, then guided tour of the Kremlin and the Armoury Chamber: Former residence of the tsars, the largest and most famous fortress in the country, the Kremlin is a complex of palaces and cathedrals, the oldest of which date back to the 16th century. The Palace of Armour houses a rich museum where the treasures accumulated by the princes and tsars are kept, as well as a fine collection of the famous Fabergé eggs.

Free time for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Meeting with your guide for a guided for of Izmailovsky flea market and Kremlin: It is in Izmailovo that the Russians themselves come to buy the Russian dolls, wooden toys and linen tablecloths with which they decorate their dacha. This souvenir market also hosts a "flea market" and antiques section.

Free time for lunch, and free time in the afternoon for a personal discovery of the city (Option: guided tour of the Museum of Cosmonautics). 

Free time for dinner. In the evening, departure for a night cruise on the Moskova river to admire the city all illuminated (optional return transfer). Overnight stay at the hotel.

TERMS OF SALE

. Deposit of 30% of the total amount of the tour when booking it

. The rest of amount (70%) 45 days before departure

. The order of the visits may be modified according to the confirmation of the touristic sites or for any other technical reasons

. Non-contractual photos

. In case of a delay in the delivery of baggage at the airport, and according to the Warsaw Convention, the recipient (the passenger) must personally send a written protest to the actual carrier (the company operating the flight, which may be different from the company selling the ticket in the case of a code-share flight) within 21 days from the day on which the baggage was placed at his disposal.

CANCELLATION POLICY

. If the cancellation occurs more than 45 days before your departure, the cancellation fee is 15% of the total amount of the trip.

. Between 45 days and 31 days before departure, it amounts 30% of the total amount of the trip.

. Between 30 days and 15 days, it amounts 50%.

. Between 14 days and 8 days, it amounts 75%.

. If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before departure, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total amount.

Special cases: 100% cancellation fee may be applied upon registration on certain services, including, unless otherwise stated, on all plane tickets, train tickets and show tickets. These charges are calculated in addition to the general cancellation fee.

LIABILITY

The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302 and Article L.211-2 II of the Tourism Code. You will therefore benefit from all the rights granted to packages. Tsar Voyages will be responsible for the proper execution of the package as a whole. In addition, Tsar Voyages has a protection in order to refund your payments and, if the transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in case it becomes insolvent.

Please note that Tsar Voyages cannot be held responsible for the following events: 

. Consequences of unforeseeable or unavoidable events of a third party such as: wars, political unrest, strikes, riots, technical or administrative incidents outside Tsar Voyages, airspace congestion, bad weather, delays (including in the dispatch of mail...), breakdowns, loss or theft of luggage or other personal effects of travellers. 

. Cancellation imposed by exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, for reasons related to the maintenance of the security of the travellers, for injunction of an administrative authority: in this case, Tsar Voyages reserves the right to modify the dates, schedules or routes planned in order to ensure the security of the travellers, without any possible recourse.

. The person making the registration in the name and on behalf of all the participants in the trip undertakes to transmit to each traveller the information provided concerning the trip so that Tsar Voyages cannot be held responsible for any defect or omission in the transmission of this information.
