Go on a "backpacker" trip to discover Tatarstan, east of Moscow. But before admiring its sublime capital and impressive Kremlin, make a mandatory stopover at Yochkar-Ola, whose architecture will surely surprise you. This trip will be your adventure, you will take the train and the bus alone.
Arrival in Kazan in the early morning. You will be welcomed by your guide and driver at the train station. Transfer to the hotel and check-in.
Panoramic tour of Kazan with your guide: you will see the Cathedral of Peter and Paul, the Azimovskaya and Marddjani mosques and the main sites of the city, such as the Freedom and Tukaya square, the lake Kaban, Kazanskii Posad and the University of Kazan.
Lunch, then guided tour of the Kazan Kremlin: During the city tour you will see a set of remarkable historical monuments which represent Tatar and Russian cultures and you will be fascinated by the 13 towers, the Qul Sharif mosque, the Blagoveshenskii Cathedral, the Syuyumbuke, and the Spasskaya Towers and the Presidential Palace.

Meeting with the guide and the driver, and departure for Yochkar-Ola (2h, 150km). Guided tour of the city center by public transport and on foot: the Annunciation Tower is a copy of the Moscow Spasskaya Tower, the elements of Annunciation Cathedral have something in common with the architecture of St. Savior on the Spilled Blood Cathedral in St. Petersburg. You will also see the shopping and entertainment complex of the 12 apostles, which is most famous for its clock with figures of 12 apostles who appear every three hours from 9 am to 9 pm. You will walk along the Bruges Embankment. During the tour, you will learn a lot about the history of the city and of the Mari El Republic.
Lunch at the cafe. Free time, transfer back to Kazan (2h).

Meeting with your English-speaking guide and transfer to Sviazhsk island to see its huge fortress overlooking the mouth of the Svyaga river. The island itself is considered to be a museum. You will have a guided tour of the Dormition monastery, founded in the 16th century.
Free lunch in Svyazhsk.
Return to Kazan. Free afternoon and dinner (Optional: Guided tour of the Raifa monastery, which is worth a visit because of its bell tower and beautiful surroundings).
Transfer to the train station and return to Moscow.

In case of a delay in the delivery of luggage at the airport, and according to the Warsaw Convention, the recipient (the passenger) must personally send a written protest to the actual carrier (the company operating the flight, which may be different from the company selling the ticket in the case of a code-share flight) within 21 days from the day on which the luggage was placed at his disposal.

. If the cancellation occurs more than 45 days before your departure, the cancellation fee is 15% of the total amount of the trip.
. Between 45 days and 31 days before departure, it amounts 30% of the total amount of the trip.

. If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before departure, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total amount.
Special cases: 100% cancellation fee may be applied upon registration on certain services, including, unless otherwise stated, on all plane tickets, train tickets and show tickets. These charges are calculated in addition to the general cancellation fee.

Consequences of unforeseeable or unavoidable events of a third party such as: wars, political unrest, strikes, riots, technical or administrative incidents outside Tsar Voyages, airspace congestion, bad weather, delays (including in the dispatch of mail...), breakdowns, loss or theft of luggage or other personal effects of travellers.
. Cancellation imposed by exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, for reasons related to the maintenance of the security of the travellers, for injunction of an administrative authority: in this case, Tsar Voyages reserves the right to modify the dates, schedules or routes planned in order to ensure the security of the travellers, without any possible recourse.
. The person making the registration in the name and on behalf of all the participants in the trip undertakes to transmit to each traveller the information provided concerning the trip so that Tsar Voyages cannot be held responsible for any defect or omission in the transmission of this information.
