Centuries-old villages stretch along the picturesque shores of Kenozero Lake, where you find carefully preserved chapels, the beauty of which will amaze you. In the heart of Kenozersky National Park in the Russian North, you will get as close as possible to unspoiled nature and real vestiges of Russian olden times.
Departure the night before on the night train. Arrival at Plesetskaya railway station, reception by your chauffeur, and transfer to the village of Vershinino (180 km, 3 hours). Arrival in the afternoon and installation at the inn.
Dinner at the inn in the village of Vershinino. The folklore group "Zaznobushki" invites you to a traditional evening: stories, dances, songs, you are immersed in an inimitable atmosphere that you will remember for a long time. Night at the inn.

Meeting with your guide for a walk in the old village of Vershinino, conquering centuries of traditions: you will visit the 18th century Nikolskaya Chapel, one of the symbols of the Kenozero National Park, and discover the local handicrafts in various exhibitions. Lunch at the inn.
Then, you will go on a boat trip to the northern part of the Lake Kenozero. During several stops you will discover the small villages of Glazovo, Rykovo and Ust-Potcha, and their famous chapels. Among which, you will visit the famous St. Nicholas' Chapel with painted ‘skies’ —a unique piece of work composed of 12 facets. After, you will visit the centre of traditional crafts and trades, and enjoy a delicious snack of herbal tea and berry pie. Finally, you will take part in a birch bark weaving workshop, before returning to the village of Vershinino.

Meeting with your guide for a boat trip on the southern part of the Lake Kenozero: you will discover the ancient village of Zekhnovo where the chapel of St. John the Apostle stands overlooking the lake, as well as a restored old watermill. A short boat ride will take you to the village of Tyryshkino with its 18th century chapels.
Return to Vershinino and lunch at the inn. Then, you will go for a guided tour of the only museum in Russia dedicated to the heritage of Kenozero National Park —a region also known as the "Iceland of the Russian epic".

Meeting with your guide and your chauffeur for a departure by transport to the village of Filipovskaya (30 min): you will discover the complex of temples dating from the 18th–19th centuries, a true architectural memorial of national importance.
Then, transfer to the village of Potcha: take a step back in time by visiting with your guide this small 20th-century village. You will discover the history of logging in Russia, as well as the fate of the village of Potcha. Traditional lunch on the spot with folklore animation.
Return to the village at the end of the afternoon.

Transfer by bus to Plesetskaya railway station (180 km, 3 h). At the end of the morning, departure by train for the return trip.

. If the cancellation occurs more than 45 days before your departure, the cancellation fee is 15% of the total amount of the trip.

Additional services (optional): any additional costs for visas, insurance, application fees or airline tickets are not refundable (unless otherwise specified in writing by our agents).

Consequences of unforeseeable or unavoidable events of a third party such as: wars, political unrest, strikes, riots, technical or administrative incidents outside Tsar Voyages, airspace congestion, bad weather, delays (including in the dispatch of mail...), breakdowns, loss or theft of luggage or other personal effects of travellers.
. Cancellation imposed by exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, for reasons related to the maintenance of the security of the travellers, for injunction of an administrative authority: in this case, Tsar Voyages reserves the right to modify the dates, schedules or routes planned in order to ensure the security of the travellers, without any possible recourse.
. The person making the registration in the name and on behalf of all the participants in the trip undertakes to transmit to each traveller the information provided concerning the trip so that Tsar Voyages cannot be held responsible for any defect or omission in the transmission of this information.
