Husky Dog-Sledding with Russian Traditional Lunch in St. Petersburg
- City : St. Petersburg
- Season : Winter Special
- Duration : 7 h
After meeting your guide and driver in the morning, you will leave a few kilometers from St. Petersburg in the middle of the forest, by a lake. As soon as you arrive you will meet the main musher (dog sled driver) of the estate, famous for having participated in some of the largest Arctic expeditions in Russia. He will tell you the incredible story of the husky breed and will tell you more about the life of a polar explorer in the Arctic.
You will then have the opportunity to meet the dogs and spend a unique moment alone before going for dog-sledding with the team. Upon your return, you will be able to try snow tubing or walking along the frozen lake.
This unique experience will continue with a traditional Russian meal in a chum (similar in shape to the Native American tipis but used by nomadic populations in Russia, Mongolia and China). You will also attend the preparation of the famous shashliks, these marinated meat skewers prized by the Russians. 'Ukha', a fish soup, mulled wine and homemade desserts will also be on the menu.
You will return to St. Petersburg in the afternoon with your driver and guide.
