In 1786, Catherine II offered this magnificent palace to her only son who would become Paul I and would make this palace his summer residence. Constructed in the Palladian style and inspired by the white columns of Roman temples, the Pavlosk Palace houses majestic buildings decorated in tones of pastel yellow. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pavlovsk Palace is renowned not only for the splendor of its interiors filled with numerous pieces of furniture, sculptures, and paintings from the 18th century, but also for the beauty of its English-style park.
